Young fishers training programme
An eight-week hands-on programme in net repair, navigation safety and sustainable fishing.
Run with the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, this eight-week programme targets fishers aged 18 to 30 who are new to the trade. Sessions take place in the cooperative meeting hall and aboard members’ vessels.
Topics covered: net maintenance and repair, engine servicing, navigation safety and first aid at sea, fishing gear regulation, and sustainable fishing practices.
