Gulf clean-up dives
An annual July operation across four bays to recover ghost nets and marine litter.
Each July our dive boats work with local dive centres and volunteers to clean four bays in the gulf. The focus is recovering ghost nets, the greatest threat to marine life in the area.
Dives are run from Körfez Rüzgârı and Mercan Su. Recovered waste is sorted and sent for recycling under a protocol with the municipality.
