Three tonnes of waste removed in the gulf clean-up dive

This year’s edition of our annual July gulf clean-up dive took place on 12 July. The cooperative dive team, local dive centres and nearly 60 volunteers worked across four bays.

Most of the three tonnes lifted from the seabed consisted of ghost nets, plastic packaging and scrap metal. The material was sent for recycling under a protocol run jointly with the municipality.
