Trawling and purse seining stop between 15 April and 1 September; small-scale rules remain in force.
Trawling and purse seining will stop between 15 April and 1 September 2026. During this period only small-scale coastal fishing may continue, subject to the mesh sizes and minimum landing sizes set out in the relevant notice.
The closed period is also an opportunity for vessel maintenance. Shipyard appointments are coordinated through the cooperative office.
