Over eight weeks, 24 young people trained in net maintenance, navigation safety and sustainable fishing.
The young fishers training programme run with the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry has concluded. Twenty-four participants aged 18 to 30 took part over eight weeks.
The curriculum combined theory and practice in net repair, navigation safety, first aid, engine maintenance and sustainable fishing practices. Certificates will be presented before the general assembly.
